About the RLF

NWTN is home.

At the heart of The Rick Lane Foundation is a simple yet powerful belief: everyone deserves a second chance.

Named in honor of my father, Rick Lane, the foundation carries forward the values he lived by—compassion, resilience, and the unwavering belief in a hand up, not a hand out. My dad raised my brother and me in the tight-knit, rural communities of West Tennessee. He taught us that dignity is never lost in struggle and that real change starts when we choose to lift others up.

Those lessons shaped not only my life but the mission of this organization. The Rick Lane Foundation is committed to tackling three of our region’s most pressing challenges: food scarcity, homelessness, and felon recidivism. We believe that sustainable community development starts with investing in people—restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and removing the barriers that hold individuals back.

Whether it's through job readiness programs, access to meals, or transitional housing support, we’re here to open doors and offer real, lasting solutions. Because second chances aren’t just about starting over—they’re about moving forward with purpose.

Join us in continuing a legacy of compassion and action.
